school is so stressful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im so happy that finals are almost over, but i know that after my finals are over i have like 56789 years of school left! well okay maybe not that many. its ridiculous how stressful school is. There is way too much homework and some really stupid teachers (not you don't worry) but it sucks that i work so hard in a class just to not pass it. Tests are the worst thing ever invented and i want to boycot them all. ESPECIALLY finals! i just want to be done with school that way i dont have to worry about it anymore and it will be a lot less stress. okay im done venting now.

Evil
Since we have been talking about evil so much in class, it makes me think that if God is so "great" then why does he create killers, rapers, and child molesters? i understand that we build our character from making mistakes, and creating evil. But, do killers, rapers and child molesters really build a good character from what they love to do? I don't think so. I just dont understand why God would create such evil in the world. Phillips says that with all good comes an evil, but why does the eveil have to be so harsh? Its understandable that everyone makes mistakes or "creates" evil but being a killer is taking the "making mistakes" to an extreme. The world would actually be an enjoyable place if there was no evil but we know that wont happen anytime soon. There will always be sins, and evil

The crime rate in America has gone up in the past years, however, not as drastic as crime due to schizophrenia. Many people who are being tried or have been tried in a criminal setting have used this as an out, in order to escape harsher punishment. Under no circumstance should you be given any special treatment or be tried any differently if you use this excuse. If anything, you should be tried even harder. Due to the many medical advances and the new medicines doctors have come up with, there are many ways to cope and treat this disorder/disease. If people commit a crime and decide later that they dont want to do it, then they usually use an excuse that they have mental problems and thats why they do it. and a lot of people who dont have schizophrenia are blaming it on that. It is a growing disease and it is really scary, and if people do have that, and they have it bad they shouldnt be allowed to be out alone because who knows what they might end up doing and they could hurt a lot of innocent people. if someone who doesnt have that diesease tries to say that they do have it then they should be punished worse for the crime that they commited

morals
In class we have been discussing a lot about being moral. We used the example about the gangsters chasing your friend and what you would tell them. If you had good morals then you would tell the gangsters the real way that your friend went because if you told them another way then that would not be being moral because that would be considered lying. However in a situation like that i think you would have to take the lesser of the 2 evils. Even though you wouldnt be telling the gangsters the truth, you would be saving a life so the better thing to do would be to lie to the gangsters, however according to kant that would be considered not being moral. I think that yoour morals depend on what your beliefs are and how you were raised. I think that i have good morals because i know whats right from whats wrong, but a person might find killing animals fun, and then think its the right thing to do so therefore they think that they have good morals, when in my mind i just think that they are really messed up in the head. Depending on where you were raised, who raised you and what you believe in i think that will decide whether you have good morals. But i dont agree with kant when he says that the only way you'll have good morals is if you dont lie.

Prop 4
if proposition 4 were to be passed, it would mean that a girl would have to notify her parents before she got an abortion. I think this proposition is very controversial. On one side i can see why they would want to pass it, one of their main points is to "reduce" sexual predators, due to sarah's law. If the law were passed then the girl would be able to tell another relative, but inorder to be allowed to tell another relative, about her abortion the girl would have to have in writing that her parents abuse her which would then lead to further problems including the parents being arrested. I'm stuck in the middle of this one, because i feel for the girls that wouldnt want to tell their parents. Some girls may come from abusive homes, and not have good relationships with their parents. A lot of girls are scared to go to their parents in situations like these, beccause they might get abused or kicked out of the house, or threatened in other ways. If a girl is raped then i think its a different story, because then it would also be in the authorities hands, and the girl wouldnt be at fault, which would mean that the parents really have no reason to be dissapointed in their child. I can see where both sides come from on this proposition and it will be interesting to see which side wins it.

Friendship
I came across this quote “Friends are like television. Some are like PBS and always asking for money. Others are like the news, with sad tales to tell everyday, some are like that one station with the foreign language; you don't understand a word of it but you listen and watch.” it made me realize how true it is, and how hard it is to find good and loyal friends. As you grow up and you expierence different things it makes you realize who really has your back and who is along for the ride, but when things get tough they just bail. Coming into college i didnt know what to expect and im happy to say that i have found a lot of friends that i know i can trust and i know will be there for me in the end. I have had those kinds of friends that are just there so you can help them out, or give them money when they need it. The ones who make their lives seem to be horrible, and when you have good news they just shut you up and talk about their bad news. Then i had the type of friends where i thought, why am i even friends with them? Theyre nothing like me at all. I think that friendship is something that should be truly valued and not taken for granted. If you find a true friend then hold on to them because there arent too many true and loyal people in the world today. I find that it is better to surround yourself with good people, and even if you have a best friend who youve known for years, and you have drifted apart just remember that there is a reason that they didnt make it to your future. I have lost some friends in the past, but as a result of that i have gained even better ones!

childhood obesity
Childhood obesity is becoming more and more common, whether you are walking down the street or at a restaurants you see more young children being severly overwight. 10% of 2- to 5-year-olds and more than 15% of children between the ages of 6 and 19 are overweight The percent of obese children has nearly doubled since the 1970’s. Who are the main contributors to this rising problem? Are children really to blame for their weight, when it reality it’s not them who decides what and when they eat. More and more children are becoming obese at a young age, and suffering many consequences because of it. Children that are obese at such a young age are more likely to see health problems earlier on in life such as; diabetes, heart problems and high cholesterol, and these are problems that are usually not seen until you reach adulthood but children are getting them earlier and earlier because of their obesity. However, just because you are an obese child, does not mean that it will continue into adulthood, it is a common thing but if parents see the problem early on in their child’s life, instead of letting the problem worsen they should take immediate action because it could save their child’s life.
